What Is a Reiki Attunement?
A Reiki attunement is a process where a Reiki Master transfers the ability to channel Reiki energy to a student. The attunement opens the energy channels, aligns the chakras, and connects the student to the universal life force energy. Once attuned, you can channel Reiki for the rest of your life.
How Does Distance Attunement Work?
Distance attunement works on the same principle as distance healing — the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbol bridges time and space. The Master sends the attunement energy across any distance, and the student receives it at an agreed-upon time. The process is:
- The Master and student agree on a time for the attunement
- The student sits quietly in meditation at the agreed time
- The Master performs the attunement process remotely
- The student may feel warmth, tingling, or emotional release
- The connection is established permanently
What to Expect During an Attunement
- Warmth or heat in the hands or crown
- Tingling sensations
- Emotional release (crying, laughing)
- Deep relaxation or sleep
- Seeing colors or light
- Feeling energy moving through the body
The 21-Day Cleansing Period
After an attunement, the body goes through a 21-day cleansing period. The energy clears blockages, toxins, and old patterns. You may experience:
- Detox symptoms (headaches, tiredness)
- Emotional ups and downs
- Vivid dreams
- Increased sensitivity
- Changes in appetite
