Dr. Sharma uses a powerful Punjabi couplet to describe the dangerous ego trap of Saturn (Shani) in the 1st house (Lagan).
The 1st house is the throne of the horoscope. Saturn is the planet of poverty, hard work, and eventual kingship. When Saturn sits in the 1st house, the native often starts from nothing but eventually achieves massive wealth and power.
However, Dr. Sharma warns of the fatal flaw: the moment they get money, it goes straight to their head ("dimag te chad gaya"). They become arrogant, acting like a dictator on a throne ("takhat te khad gaya"). This arrogance angers Saturn, who will eventually strip them of all their wealth just as quickly as he gave it. Humility is their only saving grace.
