Dr. Rishi Rohit Sharma challenges a common religious misconception regarding karma and divine forgiveness.
Many people believe that they can commit terrible sins, cheat others, or cause pain, and then simply chant God's name or visit a temple/mosque to have their sins "forgiven" ("gunah maaf hote hai").
Dr. Sharma points out the logical flaw in this belief. If God simply forgave all sins just because someone chanted His name, there would be no justice ("insaaf") in the universe. The law of Karma is absolute. God is a judge, not a corrupt official. You must pay the karmic price for your actions; chanting only gives you the strength to endure the punishment, it does not erase the crime.
